Ron has been working around the area, serving as an Executive Chef, Banquet Manager, Food and Beverage Manager and more. Ron unknowingly began his career years ago as he served in the Navy. While serving, he became the Chef and never looked back. After twenty plus years serving our country, Ron retired from the Navy and promptly enrolled in the New England Culinary Institute located in Burlington, Vermont.
His profession as a chef has led him through a number of country clubs in the area including River Point in Hobart, the Valparaiso Country Club and the Youche Country Club in Crown Point. In addition to country clubs, Ron has experienced the unpredictable and often non-stop demands of a casino, most recently working at Harrah’s Horseshoe Casino where he managed the full kitchen staff, oversaw the food and beverage operations, created exciting menus and handled the majority of the special events.
