Women’s Golf (WGA)

The Women’s Golf Association is an organization that is open to all women at Pottawattomie Country Club. There are two categories of membership in the WGA: Golf and Social. Golf Membership is available in the following categories of Pottawattomie Country Club: Regular, Spousal, Senior, Intermediate and Associate. These members of WGA access full participation in all golf and social events sponsored by the WGA.  Golfers at all skill levels are welcome. Non-golfing WGA social members are invited to participate in all social events of the WGA and The Club.

Golfers join in playing either the 9-Hole or 18-Hole groups. Both groups play in regular outings every Tuesday morning, May through September. Weekly golf includes regular events, monthly scrambles or tournament play.  Additionally, Thursday mornings and weekends will be designated for “Joiners” play. Anyone who is categorized as a Golfing Member of Pottawattomie who would like to golf in Joiners can simply show up to play with other women golfers. The WGA social members are welcome to attend all WGA social events throughout the season including post-golf Tuesday lunches. All WGA members, both golf and social, enjoy a spirit of hospitality and fun which permeates these gatherings.

Pottawattomie offers a recently improved upon Practice Areas that allows you to warm up before your round or adjust your swing after you have hit the competitive course. We are the only updated Driving Range in the immediate area and the use of the range is included in your Golf Membership. As an added benefit, Pottawattomie Social Members are able to add this amazing incentive for a slight annual fee.

LEAGUES AND TOURNAMENTS

In addition to the standard opportunity to get in a quick 9-Holes or enjoy a full day on the lush grounds, Pottawattomie Golf Members can choose to participate in one of the many tournaments offered throughout the season such as The Big Cup, Member-Guest, Club Championship and Galcuttta. The weekly Joiners Games that take place every season are a great way to play your game and meet new friends. The Twilight League is a seasonal weekly competitive competition that creates a fun environment that can both develop and expand upon new friendships.
